If I had to give my style a label, I would call it moody-vintage-slightly-victorian-farmhouse-with-a-few-boho-scandi-cottage-vibes. Try putting that sucker into Google and giving it a whirl! My point is that my personal style is fairly eclectic. It’s a melting pot of all-the-things but one of the elements that remains consistent is the moody vibe I try to bring out in my home. Because I am ever wanderlust and always love a change, I have fallen head-over-heels for wallpaper. Wallpaper and its ease of application has improved immensely over the years and it’s an easy way to change up a space quickly. I put together a handful of moody wallpapers for any style and will be sharing collections of wallpaper often because there. Are. SO. MANY. OPTIONS!!!!!

Keepin’ it Moody
I’m a moody person. By moody, I mean that I feel deeply and often lean a bit on the melancholy side. Oftentimes, folks think that “moody” means “dark” and that is simply not the case. Life is moody. Life is an abundance of moments that are dark and light, warm and cold, high and low, filled with joy and sorrow, anger and elation — tossed together in a heap of experiences that mold how we see the world and the people in it. When it comes to interior design, moodiness combines the light and dark in a way that is both soft and raw. I think of it like Yin and Yang – it’s a balance of beauty.

This paper is elegant and moody to the extreme. The Nouveau Damask Wallpaper in Black and Gold from the Deco Collection by Antonina Vella for York Wallcoverings is dramatic and jaw-dropping. I’m loving how it leans a little on the masculine side. I imagine this paper as an accent wall in an office or music space (think Billy Joel tickling those ivories with this a backdrop YAS!).

Moody Floral Wallpapers for Any Style
Florals always bring a natural element to any space and moody florals are, well, romantic. Adding an accent wall with big, drooping blooms or delicate, meandering vines is a great option if you’re looking for a way to make a quick statement in your space.
This is the Charm Peel & Stick Wallpaper in Neutral by York Wallcoverings. “A sticker for my wall, you say?” Basically, yes! Great quality peel and stick wallpaper is my new go-to when it comes to adding an accent wall in any room. Why? Because I change my mind and my spaces often. Peel and stick papers are the perfect balance between making a splash without the feeling of a lifetime commitment. This paper reminds me of a misty morning overlooking the European countryside.

Sorry, what? Oh, I was just drooling over this incredible floral masterpiece This is the Merry Floral Wallpaper in Green and Yellow by BD Wall. To say that I’ve been ogling over this paper would be an understatement. Hanging this in a dining space or as a bedroom accent wall would be a fabulous decision, in my book. You should do it.

Floral Perfection
Moving right along, the Graphic Floral wallpaper in Gold Glitter and Ebony from the Casa Blanca II Collection by Seabrook Wallcoverings fills my vintage floral loving heart to the brim. It’s like stepping into the sketchbook of an unknown, grungy artist living above a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop somewhere near the New England coast. They wake up every morning to the sound of scratchy vinyl jazz and the demanding mew of their cat, Sir Muffins. Okay, this sounds like it might be a version of myself in another life…ANYWAY. This paper is a mood and I’m here for it.

We’ve talked before about my aversion to blue. If my soul were a color, it wouldn’t be blue (by the way, if blue is your favorite color, AWESOME – embrace it – my taste is just that, *mine* and I encourage everyone to embrace what you love!). I have really been drawn to the murky moodiness of a French blue. The French Marigold Wallpaper in Blue and Gold from the Tea Garden Collection by Ronald Redding for York Wallcoverings leans heavy on the moody French chateau side and I’m considering this as an option in our home.

Moody Damask Wallpapers for Any Style
Damask is always a classic and traditional option that is always in style. The Brilliant Ogee Wallpaper in Grey and Neutrals by Seabrook Wallcoverings certainly gets all the points for overall moodiness. I’m feeling some heavy vintage vibes as well.

Damask is my go-to when I’m wanting something that will blend in with whatever whimsy I attempt next. The Ornate Ogee Peel and Stick Wallpaper in Black by RoomMates for York Wallcoverings is one of my newest obsessions. It’s in the running for the new build and is so stunning, I would have a hard time covering it with anything, to be honest. The peel-and-stick option is something I love, too, for its ease of application.

Finally, this scroll stopper fit the bill for heavy moody vibes. The mottled neutrals and intricate pattern pulled me in immediately. The Palladium Damask Wallpaper in Grey and Dark Gold by Seabrook Wallcoverings makes me feel like I’ve been whisked away to Eastern Europe. Both moody and romantic, this paper is high on my list!

What’s your top pick out of this bunch? Are you a fan of the moody vibes I’m throwing out? I honestly can’t pick one favorite. They all speak to me in different ways. If you’ve never tried wallpaper before, now is the time! I can’t get over the massive amount of options and you can be sure I’ll be sharing more again, soon! Until next time — peace, love, & light, friends!
